Greetings from Mrs. Wilson
Dear Community,
On Friday the PTA is hosting another after school event at Astroskate in Tarpon Springs. This is a great event and a nice time to socialize with other families as the rink is closed to everyone except our school community.
As all of you sports fans know, Sunday is the Superbowl! To help kick it off in style, Friday is an official dress down day! Students can be out of dress code on Friday providing they are in something that is red, white or blue (colors of both the Patriots and the Giants!). No spaghetti straps, please.
With the enormous leadership efforts of Adrienne Andrews and Heather Hiles and their assistants, the library is ready for our children to use! If you haven’t had the chance to see the new bookshelves and newly organized space, feel free to stop by the office. Next week, students will start having library time on Tuesdays and will be able to check out and return books.
It seems like Santa was very good to many of our students as evidenced by the cell phones, handheld video games and mp3 players that are showing up on campus. Please remember that students are NOT permitted to use these items on campus. If they are needed for after school activities (other than ADV’s aftercare program) they are the responsibility of the child and must be turned off and remain in the backpack. If they are used on campus they will be confiscated and will be returned when a parent comes to the office to collect it.
There are a couple of notes going home today from Mrs. Ludka, one is related to the P.E. program and one is for the Professional Development Day on February 18th. Please keep your eye out for them.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office at 298-2778 or e-mail me at d_dolden@hotmail.com.
